We’ve added a flagpole and placed it in a prominent location. It should be visible from Naramata Road. It flies a 3×6 foot Canadian Flag and, below, the 3×5 foot flag of our Province, British Columbia.
The reasons for this will be obvious to anyone in Canada. Canada has been subjected to insults and threats by the current American regime, most based on the American President’s profound ignorance of history, and geography.

His insults ranged from “Canadians are nasty”, to “Canada isn’t a real country”, and statements regarding Canada’s sovereignty and its status as an independent nation and calling Canada — a country with a land mass that makes it the second largest country in the world — a 51st state for the US.
He has also claimed that the US “supports” Canada to the tune of $200 billion every year, which is ridiculously false to anyone that understands trade deficits and trade surpluses, highlighting the fact that this is yet another university course, Economics, that he must have skipped or slept through. We could go on, and on…
So, here we are. We felt a need to fly the colours of Canada, and those of our Province, British Columbia. We hope our reasons will now be clear.
This said, we’re fully aware that most Americans do not approve of the nonsense and of the venom emmanating from the White House, and they will remain welcome visitors to Beautiful British Columbia and Canada.
Nevertheless, we thought it was time to show the flag. Anyone interested in Canada and its history can look to these valuable and trustworthy resources:
