In 2019, we started to install, very gradually, a number of high-definition security video cameras on the property. This was in response to our ever-increasing insurance premiums.
Happily, the expense we incurred has paid for itself by recording people doing damage to our gates, fences, etc. In some cases, this allowed us to get the damage repaired at the cost of the companies whose employees caused it. In turn, that meant that we did not have to go to our insurance, which would have further increased our already astronomical premiums and deductible.
However, one of the benefits we hadn’t thought of, is that our security cameras would record stuff that has nothing to do with “security”, but that they would as well capture the animals that share the property with us, and what they’re up to when humans aren’t around.
This article is the root for a series of videos recorded by our security cameras. We have collected so many surprising animal videos that the best we can do is list them below. The digital size of these videos would overwhelm the Forgottenhill.com site so we have stored them on YouTube, but in such a way that they aren’t accessible to the general public, but only to those on the Forgotten Hill website. We will be uploading new videos over the winter season while we’re closed. Come back to check if there is something new to watch until we re-open in the Spring.
Enjoy!
